  13. The problem is this :

  15. The first time after the modem is switch on and I dial a BBS or my internet
  16. provider I ALWAYS get connected.
  17. If I try making a second call WITHOUT turning my modem on-off before the next
  18. call i NEVER get connected. The two modems just negoiate forever.......
  19. To get connected the second time I ALWAYS have to switch my modem on/off
  20. before the second call.  So what's going on??. Do I have to turn the
  21. on/off switch between every call ??

  23. I was hoping I could trust my modem, so that it could be set up to make
  24. automatic calls to my internet provider once a day. But since I have to be
  25. present to switch the modem on/off before it dials, this can't be done!

  47. I've tried several comm.progs (10+) and the problem always is there, so
  48. I guess it's the modem. (My old Supra Fax 14.4 does not have this problem)
